The line-up of performers for the 2017 FOMS is a fantastic representation of some of the high-calibre emerging musicians Melbourne has to offer. Below are the information on the artists and their performances, bringing FOMS to life!

Concert 10 (final concert): Nimbus Trio

Sunday 25 June, 2pm

Melbourne based contemporary classical group Nimbus Trio consists of composer/pianist Kitty Xiao, flautist Jessica Laird and violinist Chloe Sanger. Lovers of new music, the ensemble advocates and performs emerging music of Australian and international composers including Kitty’s original compositions.

The name Nimbus was derived from Kitty’s award winning composition Nimbus that brought the group together in 2013. A Nimbus cloud carries potential of change and reflects the group’s dedication to creative collaboration and its potential within emerging Australian classical music. Nimbus Trio made their debut at Deakin Edge in Federation Square and the performance was broadcasted live on 3MBS. They have performed at various venues in Melbourne and were featured in 3MBS’ The Talent.

Nimbus Trio are releasing their first album ‘Novum’ as a represented artist through Move Records in July 2017.
